So now i’ve just finished SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE by Kurt Vonnegut. OH MY GOD. AMAAAZING BOOK. So original, witty, beautiful and haunting. I loved.

So then i read I Just Want My Pants Back by David J Rosen. It was alright. It didn’t really go anywhere but i enjoyed the writing and the characters nonetheless.
Okay so lets start with Junky by William S Burroughs. This is an interesting book, it’s not really a story about one drug-addict but an account of life in the underworld. I was surprised when reading it that although Bill Burroughs was addicted to heroin during this story, he was never a Junky if you catch my drift. He wrote like an outsider looking in, like someone undercover. Anyway, that probably sounds like I’m bullshitting but he’s a brilliantly captivating author.WOO.
Disturbing, hilarious and utterly brilliant. That is the only way to describe Charles Bukowski’s Ham On Rye. It makes me want to read Post Office and Factotum SO much now. I think that’s enough about that.
Okay so I read Big Sur by Jack Kerouac whilst on holiday, it’s mostly set in Bixby Canyon in Big Sur, California and is the story of a Kerouac turned angry and alcoholic by constant attention from fans and press. A brilliantly interesting book that could be seen as someone who’s going though a hard time or someone trying to rationalise symptoms of a mental illness (schizoaffective disorder). I personally believe the latter. But anyway, he’s an outstanding writer and this book is a must read for anyone who enjoyed On The Road or any beat books for that matter. But yeah, those are my opinions ENJOY :)
My sister bought me Ham On Rye by Charles Bukowski a couple of weeks ago, got it today and there’s a birthday message “To Carl on his birthday 06. Hope you enjoy this as i did. Jim”. Glad Carl liked the present!
Don’t ever tell anybody, if you do you’ll start missing everybody
I finished “It’s Kind Of A Funny Story” today, brilliant book, even better than the film and i loved the film. If you enjoyed “Perks Of Being A Wallflower” then you will like this i promise! I also fucked up my team on NBA 2K12 during the offseason so today had its ups and downs. Oh and i decided that i shan’t go to Reading 2012 for reasons that i can’t be bothered to explain to you nice people.
I am both happy and sad and I am still trying to figure out how that can be.
My favorite tiny story.
